Daniel Quai were responding to their desire to establish a more agile investment platform that sought to match their corporate and individual customer's needs with investor return requirements.

Cabot has over 37 years of real estate investment experience in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe. He has run the corporate net lease business for two of the leading NYSE firms focused in this sector, where during his tenure, portfolio assets under management of such companies grew by a combined US $5 billion.

 

Prior to co-founding Lodge Quai, from April 2010 to April 2012, Mr. Lodge served as President of W.P. Carey Limited, in charge of all European investments for W.P. Carey, Inc. (NYSE: WPC). From 2006 to 2010, he was Founder and Managing Partner of ARC Global Partners – a global diversified real estate investment and advisory firm.

 

Prior to founding ARC, Cabot was Executive Vice President of iStar Financial Inc. (NYSE: SFI) where he co-headed the US $3.5 billion net lease financing business from 2000 to 2006 and served as a member of iStar’s board of directors..

Cabot graduated with honors from Harvard College in 1978 and received an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1983.

Dan has 22 years of real estate investment, management and advisory experience.

 

Prior to co-founding Lodge Quai he was a co-founder, partner and shareholder in Captiva Capital Management Limited that was the investment adviser for a family of closed-end funds called Captiva Real Estate Funds. Captiva was originally a joint venture between Grove International Partners (formerly Soros Real Estate Partners) and Natixis Bank with offices in London, Hamburg, Milan, Paris and Luxembourg. Captiva managed more than €1.0 billion of equity commitments across three funds where he oversaw the acquisition and management of more than 1,700 properties valued at more than €8.0 billion across the United Kingdom and Europe.

Mr. Quai received a Bachelor of Laws from Murdoch University in 1999 and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia in 1994. Mr. Quai holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia, granted in 1998.

Matthew has over 25 years’ experience as a founder and director of fund management and technology businesses with a focus on strategy, execution, and governance.

He is Managing Director of Lodge Quai Advisors LLP, the UK FCA-regulated entity.

Additionally, as LQ Group COO, he is responsible for all business operations as well as legal, compliance,  systems and marketing across the wider group. He has particular responsibility for strategy, structure and risk management and sits on various group fund GP and SPV boards.

 

He holds an MA in Law from Oriel College, Oxford, and further qualifications in corporate finance, computer science (AI & Quantum) and complex project management. His professional background includes legal practice, equity capital markets investment banking and fund management as well as technology. Matthew holds memberships in several professional organizations and is a practising barrister.

 

Matthew is actively involved in public and charitable activities, including serving as a Trustee of the Royal Air Force Museum, one of the U.K.'s National Museums, where he sits on the Audit & Risk and Governance & Nominations Committees. He is a Patron of the Royal Institution of Great Britain and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

Richard sits on the boards of various LQ Group entities. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in the United Kingdom in 1987 and subsequently worked in the Middle East, Africa and the United Kingdom for a number of commercial and financial services groups, during which time he acted as a buy-side high yield credit analyst for an Arabian investment bank.

From 1996 he was a Principal of Channel House, a Jersey based financial services group, which was acquired by Capita Group plc in September 2005 and led their financial services client practice in Jersey until September 2007.

He currently acts as a non-executive director of a number of substantial collective investment and investment management entities and is active in a number of asset classes including global macro, leveraged corporate credit, long/short equity, fund of funds and EM real estate. He previously acted as Chairman of Yatra Capital Limited, listed on NYSE Euronext.

 

Richard is personally regulated by the Jersey Financial Services Commission in the conduct of financial services business and is a member of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA), the International Corporate Governance Network and the European Corporate Governance Institute.

Oliver has been working with Lodge Quai since September 2021 and sits on a number of its Jersey boards, including Lodge Quai Capital Management Limited, the Jersey advisory company regulated by the JFSC.

 

Oliver is an independent client director of Langham Hall Jersey and has over 20 years of fund administration experience. Until February 2023, he was an executive director and the deputy managing director of the Jersey office for 10 years. Prior to joining Langham Hall in 2012, Oliver spent over 8 years with a global fund administration business where he was seconded as primary representative in Jersey to the general partner of a fund which had commitments in excess of EUR 1bn.

 

Oliver is currently a director on a number of real estate boards investing predominantly in the UK and Europe. He is fluent in French and holds a diploma in Fund Administration awarded through the University of Manchester Business School.

Jon Evans
Finance Director

Jon has over 14 years of experience in the real estate finance and investment sectors. Prior to joining Lodge Quai in March 2022, he was Director of Finance at Greystar, and from 2016 to 2021 was Finance Director at HSBC Alternative Investments, where as part of the investment team he was responsible for finance, tax structuring, investor reporting and investment management for its $4bn global real estate portfolio.

 

He began his career at Ernst and Young’s real estate audit team, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2009. More recently, he has worked in finance roles at a number of boutique real estate investment managers, most notably as Fund Controller at pan-European opportunistic investment fund Harbert Management Corporation between 2010 and 2013.

 

He holds a BA Industrial Economics from the University of Nottingham and an MSc Finance from Lancaster University.

Thomas has 11 years of real estate investment experience. Prior to joining Lodge Quai in 2017, he spent three years at Cording Real Estate Group, a fully vertically integrated Northern European real estate investment management business where e worked as an Associate Director in the investment team focusing on portfolio management as well as underwriting of new investment opportunities in the UK, Germany and the Benelux Region.

 

Prior to joining Cording, Thomas worked as an Associate at Silverpeak Real Estate Partners, as a Senior Analyst at CBRE Global Investors.

 

Thomas began his career at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) working on the Real Estate Finance Securitization desk.

 

He holds an MSc in Business Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, and is a CFA charterholder.

Sanjoy has 25 years of deal experience totalling c.$20bn deals, as investor, investment banker and workout professional, and has executed a wide variety of debt, value-add, special situations and opportunistic investments.

Sanjoy has held strategic leadership positions in European real estate, including Managing Director of H.I.G. Capital and Chief Investment Officer, Europe, of the FREO Group. He previously worked for Benson Elliot, Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch.

He has an MBA from INSEAD and is a graduate of Imperial College, London (Henry Ford II Scholarship) and of Cambridge University’s Prince of Wales’ Business Sustainability Leadership Programme.

Michael has 15 years of real estate experience. He was also a principal within a UK supported living business. Prior to joining Lodge Quai, he spent three and a half years at Gatehouse Bank where he headed up the real estate finance division. Previous to this he worked in real estate teams within Investment Banking and Funds; more recently these were M&G’s real estate debt team and LNR’s investment team with a focus on non-performing loans.

 

Michael is a Chartered Surveyor and holds an MSc and BSc in Finance and Economics.

Ernesto has 20 years of real estate investment, asset management and advisory experience. He was formerly AM director for investments in Italy, France and Belgium for Apollo. Prior to that he was a principal at Captiva Capital Partners (formerly Natixis Capital Partners) where he led the investment activities in Italy and was board member of Mercurio AM SGR and of CDS Holding SPA, one of the major retail real estate developers in Italy. Prior to that he was with JER Partners, where he participated in real estate transactions in France, Italy and Eastern Europe.

 

He started his career in Paris with CBRE Investors. Ernesto holds a B.Sc. in Business Studies from City Business School London and a MEB from City Business School London / ESCP European Business School.

Oscar has c.10 years of real estate experience. Prior to joining Lodge Quai in June 2023, he was an investment manager at Praxis Capital, a UK-focused hybrid family office and private equity investor. Prior to that, Oscar was head of capital markets at Resolution Property, a pan-European real estate private equity firm, covering capital raising, fund management and product development. He previously gained a breadth of operational and investor relations experience as an associate at JP Morgan and analyst at BlackRock (formerly MGPA).

 

Oscar started his career as a senior analyst on the corporate advisory desk at Thomson Reuters and holds a degree from the University of Brighton.

Ralf is a real estate private equity professional with over 22 years of experience. During the course of his career at Nomura, Corestate, Tristan and Kildare, Ralf has played a senior role in at least 30 transactions with a total volume of €5.6bn. The scope of his transactions ranges from core-plus, value-add and opportunistic to special situations and corporate recovery. Most recently, he has held a senior executive role for a pan-European real estate firm with €4.2bn AuM, and executed on one of the first post-Lockdown NPL transactions in Europe.

A German national, Ralf has executed transactions across Europe and speaks German, French and English. Ralf holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and a Doctorate from the University of Cologne.

Stefano is a seasoned investment banker and financial services professional and brings over 25 years of experience to Lodge Quai.  

 

At the beginning of his career, he was an investment manager at Merrill Lynch with a focus on different asset classes including commercial real estate and with his team managed over € 5 billion. At Commerzbank Investment Banking he led the Southern European structured finance department in London and working closely with Commerz Real AG in Frankfurt on complex transactions across Europe and the United States backed by property portfolios totalling €15 billion. Lately he has been focusing on special situations, distressed situations and NPLs across Southern Europe backed by real estate assets.

 

Stefano is a British and Italian citizen and speaks English, French, Spanish, Italian.  He holds an MBA from the University of Parma and a Corporate Finance degree from London Business School.

David Joined Lodge Quai in July 2020 adding to the team 5 years of finance related experience. David started his career at Deloitte LLP in London within the Private Markets/Equity Capital Markets division. After three years, David left practice and worked in the capacity of a private contractor for businesses across various industries in the capacity of a Financial Analyst. David assisted with the establishment of a private, family office, principle investment business in the UK, and has 2 years of experience of property related finance experience.

 

David holds a membership with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), having qualified in 2019. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accountancy, an Honours in Taxation and Bachelors of Commerce Degree from the University of Cape Town (UCT). During his time he completed a thesis on Real Estate Investment Trusts.

Simon joined Lodge Quai in August 2022 adding to the team 6 years of real estate experience. Simon started his career at LaSalle Investment Management where he acted as Portfolio Management analyst in the Debt & Special Situations team. There he was involved in over £800m capital raised for the LREDS III debt fund.

After 3 years at LaSalle, Simon joined Ashtrom Properties UK, where he completed the acquisition of Exchange Flags, a Grade-II listed office in Liverpool. Following a year with Ashtrom, Simon joined Thor Equities where he was involved in creating Thor’s €91m last-mile logistics platform in Spain. 

Simon holds a BA (Hons) in International Business with Spanish from Regent’s University London. He is a native French and English speaker.

Dimple joined Lodge Quai in March 2022 and is responsible for group operations management including FCA compliance and reporting, Board and company secretarial,  Human Resources, Systems & IT and Facilities management as well as group finance, payments and payroll.

 

She has 15 years’ experience working for Industrials REIT as an Assistant Accountant. Prior to becoming a REIT Company in 2021, the company (formerly known as Stenprop) focused on Real Estate Funds in Germany, Switzerland, UK and Japan. Dimple gained extensive experience on the accounting side which she also brings to her role at Lodge Quai.

Craig joined Lodge Quai in September 2023, adding to the team almost 10 years of finance-related experience. An ACA Chartered Accountant, qualifying in 2019, Craig spent 7 years as an auditor at KPMG LLP in London, including 2 years as an Audit Manager.

Leading audits across a broad variety of industries and sectors such as Real Estate, Government, Charities, Education and Healthcare, he has developed strong technical accounting expertise, with experience in IFRS, FRS102 and US GAAP.

 

Prior to joining Lodge Quai, Craig held the role of Group Financial Controller at Madison Cairn, an operational real estate management and investment firm, focusing primarily on hospitality assets.

He additionally has several years of experience in residential real estate development through involvement in family property activity.

 

Craig holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Nottingham.

Maxime joined Lodge Quai in February 2020 adding to the team 12 years of experience in the Funds industry. Maxime started his career in 2007 at EY Luxembourg as an auditor, and joined Grosvenor in 2011, where his responsibilities in Financial Reporting, Compliance and Operations gave him an extensive view of the Real Estate Fund Management business, being part located in Paris and Luxembourg. Prior to joining the Lodge Quai, Maxime spent 2 ½ years at Savills Investment Management in Luxembourg in Fund Finance and Conducting Officer roles. Over the years Maxime has gained significant experience in the industry in most areas such as asset and portfolio management, financial reporting, compliance and risk from the Luxembourg perspective but also at a European scale.

 

Maxime holds an MSc in Business from Kedge Business School (Marseille) with an emphasis on Finance and Accounting.

Olga joined Lodge Quai in Luxembourg in August 2021 as Tax Director. With 15 years of experience in the field of taxation, Olga started her career in KPMG Moscow where she worked for 9 years mainly focusing on cross-border investments and tax structures in the real estate industry.

 

In 2015 Olga joined the real estate team of the M&A tax department at Deloitte Luxembourg. While at Deloitte, she was also an active member of the Russian and CIS desk.

Olga is qualified as a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master’s degree in International Business from St Petersburg State University.

Aymen joined Lodge Quai in November 2021 as Senior Fund Controller. With 7 years of experience, he started his career in PWC Luxembourg focused on audits of private equity, real estate, and infrastructure investments. He is experienced in IFRS and Lux GAAP.

After more than five years in audit, he joined Aztec Luxembourg and gained experience in Fund administration. Aymen holds a Master’s degree in Finance & Accounting from Jean Moulin University in Lyon, France.

Joana joined Lodge Quai in July 2022 as Corporate Manager. With 7 years of experience, Joana started her legal career in Albania. After moving to Luxembourg in 2017, she worked for the European Investment Bank in the Finance and Operations Directorate involved in several legal tasks.

Having worked for corporate service providers, in 2021 she joined Alter Domus in the Alternative Asset fund Administration department and was responsible for implementation and maintaining the legal standards of Luxembourg incorporated entities.

Joana is currently pursuing a Master of Laws at the University of London.
